After Park Güell I found my way through the quiet streets behind the park, located the metro stop (accessed by an elevator!) and went to explore the neighbourhoods around Plaza Catalunya and the Born district, an old area, now gentrified with narrow, winding alleyways and beautiful old buildings, flags, laundry and greenery spilling over the balconies, photo ops galore.

Cycled home, bought groceries, made dinner and that was the end of day two. The only plan for day three was the Picasso museum, another "must" in Barcelona and, like the other "musts", was so mobbed it was almost impossible to enjoy the art and what there was wasn't my favourite Picasso. So I made my way back to the waterfront area in search of lunch and this time wasn't disappointed. Had some good octopus and crab salad tapas.
