Ballet Folklorico at Chapultepec

When Phyllis and I visited Chapultepec Castle, we noticed that the famed Ballet Folklorico were doing a series of performances on an outside stage there and thought how fantastic it would be to see them in a setting like that. But time and Phyllis' poor health didn't allow. So after Phyllis left, when Alfonso asked me if I'd like to join he and Sylvia and a bunch of his family, I jumped at the chance. Ballet Folklórico de México is a Mexican folkloric ballet ensemble in Mexico City. Founded in 1952 by Amalia Hernández Navarro it has presented dances in costumes that reflect the traditional culture of Mexico. This performance had a distinctly Christmas theme and was a bit shorter than the usual was but quite wonderful. Here's some of it:
